International Student Activities

Programs

Host Family Program – Students may live with an area family during the fall, spring or winter breaks.

International Table – students and interested community members to get together for informal conversation several times a semester at a local restaurant.

International Conversations Partners – offers international students one-on-one contact with other students at Marshall University for language and cultural exchange.

Annual Events

January – “Get-To-Know-You” Ice Skating Party

May – Graduation “End-of-Semester” Picnic on the Huntington campus

June – “Get-To-Know-You” Summer Picnic (Beechfork State Park or Ritter Park at the beginning of the summer session)

July – Horseback Riding and Campfire BBQ

August – Trip to Kings Island Amusement Park (L.E.A.P. Program event at the end of the summer session)

September – “Get-To-Know-You” Fall Picnic on the Huntington campus

October – Halloween Costume Party and Dance

November – Horseback Riding and Campfire BBQ

November – International Festival

December – Trip to Charleston, West Virginia (L.E.A.P. Program event at the end of the fall semester)
