Swim for Fitness

Looking for a way to keep your child active in the water without the pressure of a swim team? Swim for Fitness is the perfect fit!

Dive into fun with Swim for Fitness! Designed for kids ages 5–12 with American Red Cross Level 3 swimming skills, this program offers an exciting alternative to traditional swim teams. Kids will meet twice a week for three weeks, totaling six classes. The program focuses on building endurance, enhancing skills, and boosting fitness through engaging games and creative challenges—all within a supportive, low-commitment environment. Perfect for kids who love to swim but want a relaxed, fun-focused experience. Come make a splash and discover the joy of fitness in the water!

Registration Information

Prices depend on session dates. Click links above for more information. Program fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • Registration can be done in person, at the Pro Shop, in the Rec lobby or online.
  • Participants who are new to the program will be assessed on the first day to determine their comfort level and their current swim abilities to be placed in the appropriate level.
  • Participants who have been in the program before should register for the level stated on the progress report received at the end of each session. If there are further questions on the appropriate level, please contact the Assistant Director of Aquatics & Safety.
