The College of Science is thrilled to announce the kickoff of MATH STAMPEDE, Marshall University’s summer math success accelerator. Guided by Dr. Laura Stapleton, Assistant Professor, and Jessica Johnson, Mathematics Instructor, this innovative program is designed to help students Get Ready, Get Placed, and Get Ahead!
At Orientation, Dr. Stapleton and Ms. Johnson welcomed and registered this year’s eligible first-time freshmen. They helped students dive into ALEKS PPL, the nationally‑recognized placement, preparation, and learning software that underpins MATH STAMPEDE.
What makes MATH STAMPEDE a must-join?
Get Ready: Students complete an ALEKS assessment to refresh and identify math strengths.
Get Placed: The adaptive system ensures accurate placement in the right-level course.
Get Ahead: Achieve a higher placement—and potentially earn credit early—saving time and tuition.
Incoming Marshall students can STAMPEDE into the fall semester with stronger math foundations and greater success.
