Higher Learning Commission (HLC) Quality Initiative Book Selection

9:15 – 9:45 AM | Virtual

Abstract:  A group of University representatives were brought together in Spring 2022 to help select two books each year as part of the three year HLC Quality Initiative that begins in Fall 2022. This session will focus on how a short list of books were selected and then presented before an ever larger group of University and Community partners to come to the recommendation of the first two books and outline the possible process for selecting books for years two and three. Further, this session will also focus on how these books may be utilized across a variety of contexts to support the theme of year one (Complexities of Identity).

Facilitators:  Zelideth Rivas (Professor, Modern Languages); Chris Atkins (Associate Director of Advising Technologies, Centralized Advising); April Fugett (Interim Executive Director, Center for Teaching and Learning)

Session Format:  Virtual
