Session Title: Teaching Quantitative Skills with AIDA

Abstract: We propose the well-known marketing model of Attention-Interest-Desire-Action (AIDA), as a multi-stage framework for teaching quantitative skills to college students. Students’ apprehensions about quantitative methods and poor math-readiness from high school affects their approach towards quantitative learning. Designing the right learning experience is crucial and the AIDA model provides educators across disciplines with the overarching framework for achieving success.
