Alberto Coustasse

Biography

Alberto Coustasse, Dr.PH, MD, MBA, MPH. Dr. Coustasse is a fully tenured professor of Healthcare Management and Administration at Marshall University’s Lewis College of Business. He teaches in the Master of Health Informatics Program and the Doctoral Program of Nurse Anesthesia Practice. Dr. Coustasse has published over 150 research manuscripts including JAMA, Health Care Management Review, Telemedicine and eHealth, Permanente Journal, the Journal of Ambulatory Care Management, and Perspectives AHIMA Journal, among others. In 2019, he received the LCOB Robert P. Alexander Research Faculty award. He has also received 28 best paper research awards from diverse organizations in his academic carrier. He is also a reviewer of top research journals including JAMA, Health Services Research, Pediatrics, and many more, as well as a grant reviewer for LCOB intramural (as chair of the research committee) and extramural funding. In 2020, he reviewed ten COVID 19 grant proposals in diverse topics, related to healthcare for the Swiss National Science Foundation. He has served as a grant reviewer for the University of Ottawa’s Medical Research Fund in 2017 and the Austrian Science Fund in 2015.
