Aviation Management

Program Description

The Department of Management and Health Care Administration offers a major in Aviation Management that prepares students to assume positions in a wide assortment of non-flight careers within the aviation industry, including airline operations, air transportation, airport management, airport consulting, aircraft manufacturing, sales, and aviation insurance. Students completing the program may be employed by regional and national airport facilities, airlines, commercial courier services, private aircraft operations, aircraft manufactures, and similar organizations. With two regional airports servicing the immediate area: Yeager Airport in Charleston, WV and Tri-State Airport in Huntington, WV, the major will offer experiential learning opportunities including internships, guest speakers, and other real-world projects and learning.
