Rohan Christie-David

Biography

“Dr. Christie-David is the new Dean of the Lewis College of Business. He is foremost committed to student success and is looking forward to getting to know the student body at the LCOB. In order to achieve this, he will hold open hours every first Thursday of the month for the students. He wants to get back into the classroom and if his schedule permits, he will be teaching an undergraduate corporate finance class in the spring. Dr. Christie-David has won awards for his teaching.

On a related note, he is an award-winning researcher. He specializes in banking, financial derivatives, market microstructure, and corporate finance. His research has been featured in the WSJ, the NY Times, Bloomberg News, among others. With more than 40 articles in elite and high-quality business journals, he was ranked among the “Most Prolific Authors in Finance Literature 1959-2008.” He has published in the Journal of Business, The Academy of Management Journal, the Journal of Banking and Finance, the Journal of Futures Markets, the Journal of Derivatives, the Review of Futures Markets, and others.

He holds an A.C.I.B. from The Chartered Institute of Bankers (London), now the Institute of Banking & Finance, London, an MBA (with Distinction) from Wake Forest and a PhD in (Business Administration: Finance) from the University of South Carolina.”
