Interested in being a part of the 2015-2016 Student Advisory Board?

The Lewis College of Business is currently in search of motivated student leaders for its 2015-16 Dean’s Student Advisory Board. The board will consist of undergraduate and graduate students selected to serve as the voice of the College’s student population and to serve as a liaison between the student body and administration. The Dean’s Student Advisory Board provides students a forum to voice their needs, concerns, and suggestions as they pertain to future planning and decision making within the College. It also allows students a chance to interact with Lewis College of Business stakeholders.

Meetings will be held once (twice) a month to discuss leadership and volunteer opportunities, assess College and community needs, and work on projects that affect the student body and community. We are looking for student leaders available from September of 2015 through May of 2016.

Membership Selection Guidelines

The board consists of approximately 10-15 students representing the diverse nature of the student body in the Lewis College of Business who will serve for the 2015-2016 academic year (some availability may be needed over summer 2016). Members will be selected based on leadership skills and the desire to enhance the College’s impact, and promote innovation, and engagement. Care is taken to represent all majors, ethnic groups, gender, student classifications, student organizations, and physically challenged students. To ensure continuity from year to year, underclassmen are invited to continue their membership with the Board until graduation.

Important Dates

Applications are being accepted until FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 11, 2015 AT NOON. They must be dropped off to Molly Robertson at the Dean’s Office in Corbly Hall 107.

Applicants will be emailed by MONDAY SEPTEMBER 14 if they have been selected for an interview.

Interviews will be held on WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 16 to determine those selected for the Board. Final notifications will be sent by mail during the week of SEPTEMBER 21.
