Blue Man Group visits College of Arts and Media students for workshop

Share

Marshall University Assistant Professor and former Blue Man Group (BMG) Resident Music Director Jesse Nolan and members of the BMG North American Tour Cast (Dan Carter, Anthony Riscica and Terry Tungjunyatham) presented “Painting With Sound” to students in the College of Arts and Media students Tuesday, March 8.

The unique workshop, created by Nolan during his time with BMG, gives attendees a glimpse into the multi-dimensional world of Blue Man Group and has been performed 150 times across the country.

“This is a rare opportunity for College of Arts and Media students to see behind the scenes of Blue Man Group,” Nolan said before the session. “Dan (Carter) will be in the flesh, which is actually pretty cool. When he transforms from himself to one of the Blue Man Group without paint, he shows students that acting essentially comes from within, no matter what the wardrobe.”
