MU Choral Festival Fall 2022


DATE: Friday, October 21st 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

PLACE: Smith Music Hall, Marshall University

REPERTOIRE: Chosen from the West Virginia All-State and All-State Chamber Choir lists, plus “Cum Sancto Spiritu” from Vivaldi’s Gloria RV 589, available without charge at The repertoire list is posted on the website at: under upcoming festivals (scroll toward the bottom and you will see it on the right hand side). High schools will be responsible for providing sheet music for their students.

ATTIRE: Casual. We will wear festival t-shirts for the livestream broadcast.

FORMAT: Rehearsal of All-State music, supplemented by performances by MU Choral ensembles and presentations by members of the MU voice faculty. Students will receive a festival T-shirt and a certificate for participation. Parents may attend the final run through of music, which will begin at 5:00 pm. This will also be live-streamed and archived on our School of Music YouTube channel for family and friends or for students to review later for practice purposes.

REGISTRATION: $20/student. Checks made payable to “Marshall University.” No registration fee for directors.
