Music Education

The Marshall University School of Music offers a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Music Education in conjunction with the College of Education and Professional Development. Studies focus on musicianship, individual instrumental/vocal skills, and teaching pedagogy and methodology.

After receiving your degree in music education, you will be certified to teach music to all ages from Pre-K through adult. You will learn the tools necessary to teach music, manage a classroom, and even how to play every instrument. Our faculty located in both the School of Music and the College of Education and Professional Development provide hands on experience to future educators as well as clinical internship opportunities to grow.
