Faculty members and advisors can login to a system called MU BERT to view rosters, MUOnline is the online learning management system, which can be used for both online and face-to-face courses at all Marshall Campuses. Visit http://www.marshall.edu/muonline for information about the system and how to get started.

The MyMU Portal is a mobile-friendly application that gives students and employees a single front door to services and application. Use your MUNET credentials to get access. Faculty and advisors see content directed specifically to them. Therefore, instructors and advisors will NOT see the same information as students. However, an instructor who is also a student will be able to see both views by clicking on the menu. The app will automatically default to the student role. Faculty will use this to email students and enter grades. Students use the same system to access financial aid information, course schedules, catalogs and to register for classes.

When inclement weather or other crises strike, faculty can use the communication tool in myMU called MU Alert, which alerts students about cancellations, weather, crime, and important changes.

In MUOnline, faculty can email either an entire class or all students in multiple classes. Details are available here.

Within MU BERT, instructors can view a full class list along with pictures and can email an individual or an entire class from the Class List with an Email Address tab inside the Class Information tab. MU Bert is a tool used to assist MU faculty and administrators with generating report data from Marshall’s Enterprise Student Information System.

BlackBoard & Grades

The DegreeWorks system provides main campus students and their advisors with up-to-date information on progress toward graduation by tracking and comparing past and present academic achievement. Using DegreeWorks, students and advisors can check academic progress toward a degree, review the requirements already completed, and use the information provided to plan courses students should take to complete degree requirements.

The Office of the Registrar protects academic records and communicate and applies academic policies and procedures. For more information, visit http://www.marshall.edu/registrar/.

Blackboard Analytics sifts through concrete data in a matter of seconds, giving advisors, tutors and instructors information that may help students stay in school and graduate. It allows faculty to increase enrollment, student retention, and learner engagement through insights produced from data you already have. With the help of Blackboard Analytics’ data-driven solutions, Marshall University can identify and overcome barriers to student success and keep learners on track for graduation. Learn more about it here.

Students will feel secure in the MyCoursEvalportal guaranteeing anonymity on each and every evaluation they take. MyCoursEvalalso provides faculty members and administrators the feedback they need in order to make necessary and positive changes on campus and in the classroom. Evaluations using MyCoursEval™ are automatically loaded into myMU at the end of every semester for students to access.
