Inclement Weather Procedures

Information Technology will adhere to the following procedure for the Drinko Study Center, IT Service Desk, ID office, IT Administration office and the remaining IT departments (e.g. Infrastructure & Applications teams) during periods of inclement weather.

Study Center:

During a University delay or closure, the Study Center will continue to serve the student body and stay open.  However, in the event of extreme weather, IT Administration may decide to close the Study Center for safety reasons. For the latest information on IT Facility Closures follow us on Twitter https://twitter.com/marshallu_it or call 304-696-6480

IT Service Desk:

During a University delay or closure, the IT Service Desk will be open and will also be available over the phone (304-696-3200),  email (itservicedesk@marshall.edu) or web (http://itsupport.marshall.edu). However, in the event of extreme weather, IT Administration may decide to let the service desk work remotely for safety reasons.

ID Office:

During a University announcement of delay or closure the ID Office will follow the university’s schedule.

IT Administration and IT departments:

IT Administration and IT departments will, during regular business hours (Monday through Friday 8am until 5pm) follow MU directives. For example, if the University is on a two-hour delay, IT Administration and IT departments and personnel will also be on a two-hour delay.  However, some staff may be on call and can be reached through the Service Desk or directly.
